Limited Edition Jacques Pepin 1.9-qt. Sauteuse with Chef's Lid by Mauviel

Limited Edition Jacques Pepin 1.9-qt. Sauteuse with Chef's Lid by Mauviel
$449.95

A functional work of art from two beloved icons of French cooking-Jacques Pépin and Mauviel-this limited-edition sauteuse is based on a favorite Jacques brought with him from France to America. When our first exclusive sauteuse sold out in days, we again collaborated closely with Jacques to design this iteration of the incredible, multi-purpose pan. Slightly smaller in size with a shape that's ideal for reducing stocks and sauces, it's equally excellent for sautéing vegetables, simmering soup and gravy, and making rich custard or risotto. The copper sauteuse features a wide mouth that promotes faster evaporation and a rounded bottom to ensure easier whisking and prevent sticking. Handcrafted by artisans at Mauviel-copper cookware experts since 1830-this heirloom-quality pan also features an etching of Jacques' signature umbrella logo. The flat, side-handled chef's lid locks in heat and moisture and can be used on almost any pot. Pot and lid feature cast iron handles pulled from Mauviel's archives-these will be among the very last copper pots Mauviel will ever make with cast iron handles. Limited to only 150 numbered pieces, each sauteuse is a work of art on its own.
