I #love #books especially #old #secondhand books bcos they don't just tell the intended story that's between the covers, but bcos they give a glimpse into the of lives of the people who've written them, owned them, held them & read them. While I was aimlessly browsing the shelves of my local #halfpricebooks on a #Friday #afternoon , this tattered copy of 'The #Hill of #Devi' by #emforster , one of my favorite authors, called out to me from it's lonely place on a dusty shelf hoping that I would take it home till it was ready to move on. I'm going to do my best to look after this copy not bcos of the author but bcos a part of me still thinks about the first copy i owned #decades ago as a #college #student in #mumbai & wonders if anyone cared for it after i had to leave it behind. #memories #sydenham

While #Frederickburg #Texas boasts of high end farm to market gourmet establishments, there is a gem called @lincolnst_fbg Lincoln Street Wine Market that serves #wine based on what your palate desires . Had we known about this place earlier we wouldn't have bothered with any other place here. Most important, Lincoln St is the oldest wine bar in texas and has been featured in #nytimes #newyorktimes #wsj #wallstreetjournal yet they remain humble and genuine wine enthusiasts. We wish them well and hope they continue doing their thing fir a very long time
